The goal of this postdoctoral research project is to improve user experience and 3D interaction in virtual reality and augmented reality – AR/VR systems. Motion sickness and slow reaction time are current impediments to the wider adoption of AR/VR in industry, for example for remote collaboration and remote maintenance of equipment. By implementing a dynamic measurement and adjustment of the system, and studying the perceived comfort for a diverse panels of users, this research aims at helping users to take fully advantage of the recent advances in 3D cameras.
