The use of biosensors and wearable technologies is vital for animal health management. Timely animal health monitoring ensures animal well-being and the quality of dairy products. High-cost products, such as medication patches, tracking collars etc., are currently being used. A Wearable Radio Frequency IDentification technology is comparatively low-cost and can be used for Health Monitoring.

This work aims to develop a smart contact lens capable of sensing a biomarker in the eye for timely health monitoring.
A Chipless RFID tag design based on the Radar Cross Section operating principle is presented. A chip-based Near Field Communication RFID prototype with temperature sensing is developed as another solution.
